Skincare in Review: Liv Tyler Skincare Routine

So I pulled this article out of Allure. It describes Liv Tyler's $1,065 beauty routine. I'm sorry....ONE THOUSAND SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS??? Let's take a closer look at what she's doing.

She's got 10 products and a tool in her routine including 2 cleansers, 2 masks and 2 moisturizers

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Lash Boosting Eye Cleanse $62

Chodoriya Hydrating Face Soap $17

Astara Blue Flame Purification Mask $40

Barbara Sturm Face Mask $160

Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Acid $300

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Facialift textured rolling tool $38

Talika Eye Therapy Patches $49  -- she keeps these in the freezer

Rodin Olio Lusso Face Oil $119 for a 1 oz bottle

Avene Extremely Rich Compensating Cream -- $35

Sisley Paris Floral Spray Mist -- $100

Barbara Sturm Glow Drops -- $145

I love Liv Tyler. I love her dad. I love Aerosmith. And I love a lot of the products she's using. And I'm sure we'd all love to have Liv Tyler's lifestyle. She's rich. She's famous. She's got staff out the wazzoo. And she's got the time and money to lounge around in her bathroom for an hour rubbing her face with over a thousand dollars of products.

Now, let's get real. I'm a big fan of double cleansing but you don't need two cleansers to do it. And come on, a lash boosting eye cleanser? Call me suspect. Hyaluronic acid is awesome but if you're spending $300 for a single ounce of it you've got more money than sense. Two masks? Seriously? I've got to make dinner and get to the hockey rink. You know I love face oils. But $119 for a skimpy ounce of Rodin Olio Lusso? Most of the same ingredients are in my 3N1 Hybrid Face Oil and not only is it a quarter of the price on an ounce by ounce basis but it does triple duty as your makeup remover, cleanser and moisturizing face oil. Eye therapy patches? Floral mists? $145 bucks for glow drops? Come on. It’s just skin.

Again, nothing against Liv. I'm sure it's great to be Hollywood royalty. But this skincare routine is overkill. As a busy working mother I want a skincare routine that is fast, efficient and effective. That's why I created my 3N1 Hybrid Face Oil and T3 Hydroactive Spray Serum set. These are multifunction products that work harder and do more than anything in Liv's arsenal. Using just these two products I've created a luxurious five-minute beauty ritual that will leave your skin every bit as healthy and glowing as Liv Tyler's.
